On August 8, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Office issued a document conveying the conclusion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the project to organize and develop road traffic in Nha Trang city.
Specifically, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed on the policy to construct a tunnel route on Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang city. The Standing Committee requested that Nha Trang city authorities, in collaboration with consulting units and relevant departments, study and determine the appropriate and feasible route, and propose investment phases to ensure effectiveness, reporting to the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province.

The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee also requested that Nha Trang city promptly propose to the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province to invest in a tunnel combined with a parking lot at April 2 Square on Tran Phu Street.
The People’s Committee of Nha Trang city was tasked with reviewing additional solutions and proposals to ensure consistency with the architectural concept of the eastern park of Tran Phu Street, the green conversion project, and the city’s green growth project for the period of 2024-2030.
In addition, the city authorities were also asked to propose feasible and effective mechanisms and policies to encourage investment in underground parking lots combined with commercial and service business operations to attract socialization. Moreover, they need to study and supplement the project with solutions and proposals for public transport during large-scale events and activities that may cause traffic congestion.
Tran Phu Street is a 12km-long coastal road in Nha Trang city, home to most of the city’s accommodation services, restaurants, parks, squares, night markets, and entertainment venues. However, during peak tourist seasons, Tran Phu Street often experiences traffic congestion.
