Following the directive of the Prime Minister regarding the dispatch of a surprise inspection team to oversee land-use rights auctions in Thanh Oai and Hoai Duc districts of Hanoi, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) has established a task force to work with relevant agencies and units in the city.
Mr. Chu An Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Land Planning and Development (MONRE), led the task force, with Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen, Head of the Land Resources Development Division, as his deputy. The team also included three specialists from the Department and a representative from the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

The task force is responsible for inspecting compliance with regulations on determining the reserve price and assessing the compatibility of winning bids with actual land prices in the market. They will also scrutinize the conditions, procedures, and processes for organizing land-use rights auctions, conduct on-site inspections of the auctioned land, and address other related matters during their engagement with local authorities.
This morning, the team will work with the People’s Committee of Thanh Oai district, and in the afternoon, they will collaborate with the People’s Committee of Hoai Duc district. They will also conduct field inspections and engage with relevant organizations and individuals.
Inside the land auction in Hoai Duc district on August 19
Previously, Hoai Duc district held auctions for 19 land plots in Long Khuc village, Tien Yen commune. The highest bid reached VND 133.3 million/sq.m, totaling VND 15 billion, which is 18 times the starting price.
In Thanh Oai district, 68 land plots in Thanh Than village, Thanh Cao commune, were auctioned off at the beginning of August. The highest bid reached VND 100 million/sq.m, eight times the starting price.
