Mitsubishi dealers are currently offering two simultaneous promotions on the Mitsubishi Triton, including discounts from the manufacturer and dealers themselves. This could be a move to clear out old stock before the launch of the 2024 Triton next month.

Specifically, according to Mitsubishi Vietnam, the Triton 4×2 AT, originally priced at 650 million VND, is now offered with a cash discount equivalent to 100% of the registration fee. The registration fee, typically set at 6% of the selling price, amounts to 39 million VND. The Japanese automaker also offers a one-year physical insurance package worth approximately 9 million VND and a rearview camera worth 2.5 million VND to buyers of this model.

Additionally, according to a survey of several dealers in Hanoi and Central Vietnam, sales consultants revealed that the Triton 4×2 AT is currently subject to an additional cash discount of 10-20 million VND. Thus, customers can save up to 49-59 million VND on the on-road costs of these Triton models.

Sales consultants also mentioned that the Mitsubishi Triton is currently only available in the 2023 4×2 AT version, and the quantity is limited. Meanwhile, the two higher-end versions, the Triton 4×4 AT Athlete and the Triton 4×2 AT Athlete, are sold out.

According to experts, this is an understandable move by the Japanese automaker and its dealers as the launch of the new-generation Triton draws near. Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam has confirmed that the 2024 Triton will be officially unveiled on September 11 in Hanoi.

The 2024 Triton marks a significant transformation from its predecessor, featuring a redesigned chassis, exterior, and enhanced technology. The expected price of the new model is not yet available. Given the extensive upgrades, the 2024 Triton is likely to be priced higher than the current generation.
