Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 16 in September, the next generation of iPhones featuring powerful design upgrades, enhanced performance, and optimized user experiences.
A supposed invitation from Apple, featuring the words “Ready. Set. Capture” alongside a copper-colored logo, has been circulating on social media platform X, suggesting that the launch event will take place on September 10. However, a YouTuber later claimed responsibility for creating the fake invitation, citing boredom as the reason for their actions.
So, when will the iPhone 16 actually be unveiled? Filipe Espósito, an editor at 9to5Mac, believes that Apple may release the iPhone 16 a week earlier than expected.

Apple may break tradition and not release the iPhone 16 on a Tuesday in September.

The fake invitation for the iPhone 16 event was created by a YouTuber using Figma and AI.
According to Espósito, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has indicated that iOS 18 will be ready ahead of schedule, which could mean an earlier release for the iPhone as well. Espósito predicts that if the launch is set for September 3, an official announcement should come by the end of this week, as Apple typically sends out invitations to journalists one to two weeks before the event.
Another important factor that may influence Apple’s decision to avoid a September 10 launch is the scheduling of the first US Presidential debate between Trump and Harris.
Additionally, Apple has a tradition of releasing iPhones on the first Tuesday of September, making a delay until September 17 unlikely.
However, according to Forbes, the iPhone 16 launch may not take place on September 3 or 4 either, as the IFA Berlin tech show is scheduled for those dates, with Samsung, Sony, LG, and others expected to unveil their products.
As a result, Apple may break with tradition and not release the iPhone 16 on a Tuesday. The event could be held a few days earlier or later than September 10.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to feature a completely redesigned rear camera system, along with seven color options: pink, yellow, green, blue, black, white, and purple.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are rumored to feature a 48 MP ultra-wide lens, an upgrade from the previous 12MP. A new bronze color option and a dedicated shutter button are also expected to be introduced on these premium models.
Apple enthusiasts can look forward to the arrival of the iPhone 16 generation, which is expected to offer exciting design and performance enhancements.
“I used to think it was foolish to spend extra money on this feature on the iPhone, but once I tried it, I couldn’t stop.”
Previously, I did not value spending extra money to buy the Pro line just to have a 120Hz display. However, after using the iPhone 15 Pro for a few months, this person realized that they were wrong.
