The iPhone 12 Pro Max, like its Apple flagship predecessors, was one of the best-selling versions upon its release.

Featuring a sleek flat-steel frame, an incredibly sharp OLED display, and a triple-lens camera system, the iPhone 12 Pro Max remains one of the most sought-after and trusted smartphones to date.

Moreover, it was also Apple’s most popular device on the used market last year. According to a report by Cho Tot, the total number of inquiries for used iPhone 12 Pro Max devices in early 2023 doubled compared to the same period in 2022.

The key to this smartphone’s success lies in its pricing. The used iPhone 12 Pro Max is now available at a much lower price, making it more accessible to a wider range of consumers.

Additionally, another factor contributing to its popularity is the fear of potential issues with used iPhone 13 Pro Max devices. Many users of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have reported unexpected screen glitches, such as stripes or a blue screen.

As a result, opting for a used iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max is considered relatively risky at the moment. Consequently, many consumers are turning to the iPhone 12 Pro Max as a safer alternative.

Recently, on various mobile device trading platforms, the iPhone 12 Pro Max ‘super-light’ models are being offered at very attractive prices: approximately 10 million VND for the 128GB version, which is almost brand new. Higher-capacity versions are only slightly more expensive, ranging from 1 to 2 million VND.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max stands out with its steel frame and triple-camera setup on the back, including three cameras arranged in a triangle formation and an additional LiDAR sensor.

The device features an OLED display, which Apple refers to as a ‘Super XDR OLED’ screen. This display offers a higher resolution than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with 2778 x 1284 pixels. Additionally, the iPhone 12 Pro Max boasts a peak brightness of 1200 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even in direct sunlight, and an impressive contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. DisplayMate, a display evaluation organization, has given the iPhone 12 Pro Max an A+ rating, declaring it to have the best smartphone display.

While all previous “Pro” and “Plus” iPhone models from Apple featured a 2x telephoto camera, the iPhone 12 Pro Max takes it a step further with a 2.5x lens, offering improved optical zoom capabilities and a wider zoom range of up to 12x with digital zoom (7x for video).

In comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro and other iPhone models with telephoto cameras offer 10x digital zoom for photos (6x for video).

The most prominent feature of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is its camera system. Apple has equipped this device with a significantly larger sensor, 47% bigger to be precise, which results in some notable improvements in its photographic capabilities.

Under the hood, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic processor, built on a 5nm process and boasting over 11.8 billion transistors. This chip delivers impressive processing speeds of up to 3.1 GHz and graphics performance that is 1.3 times faster than its predecessors.

In terms of battery life, the iPhone 12 Pro Max boasts a 3687 mAh battery, the largest in the iPhone 12 series. While it may not quite match the capacity of some Android competitors in the same price range, such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the iPhone 12 Pro Max still maintains stable performance.
