“Pouring” Hundreds of Millions into an Infrastructure Project in Binh Thuan

The Binh Thuan province is set to expand the Vo Xu town water supply pipeline in Vu Hoa commune, Duc Linh district, with an investment of VND 36.5 billion. Additionally, the province has approved a VND 196 billion project to repair and upgrade Tran Hung Dao street in Phan Thiet city. There are also plans to adjust the coastal road project, DT.719 B, in the Hon Lan - Tan Hai section of Ham Thuan Nam district.

The People’s Council of Binh Thuan province has passed resolutions outlining financial support from the state budget for the development and implementation of community charters and conventions within the province. They have also approved investment policies for several projects, including the expansion of the water supply pipeline in Vo Xu town and Vu Hoa commune in Duc Linh district, with an estimated value of VND 36.5 billion for the Group C project.

The People’s Council also approved investment policies for the Improvement and Repair of Bridges and Roads in the province and the Repair and Upgrade of Tran Hung Dao Street in Phan Thiet city, a Group B project with a total investment of approximately VND 196 billion. The investment capital for this project will come from the provincial budget in the mid-term public investment plan for the latter part of the 2021-2025 period and will continue into the 2026-2030 period. The project is expected to take three years to complete.

The total length of the road to be repaired and upgraded is approximately 2.7 km, starting at the roundabout on April 19 Street and ending at Tran Phu Street. The road will have a width of 15 meters, with sidewalks of at least 5 meters on each side and a minimum road width of 25 meters.

Additionally, the People’s Council of Binh Thuan province passed resolutions on adjusting and approving several other projects, including the Ven Bien road section of DT.719 B from Hon Lan to Tan Hai in Ham Thuan Nam district, social housing infrastructure in Tien Loi ward in Phan Thiet city, the Son My resettlement area (phase 1) in Ham Tan district, and the repair and renovation of the Binh Thuan Conference Center.

The 25th session of the People’s Council also adjusted and supplemented the 2024 investment plan for lottery capital, with a total adjusted capital plan of VND 99.4 billion.

Binh Thuan province’s infrastructure is set to improve with a series of resolutions passed by the Provincial People’s Council at its 25th session (specialized session).

The People’s Council of Binh Thuan province also adjusted and approved the capital for several projects for 2022-2023 to implement the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in the province. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Council, stated that based on the discussions and considerations of the proposals submitted by the Provincial People’s Committee and the verification reports of the Council’s committees, the People’s Council unanimously passed 13 resolutions.

Mr. Hoai Anh requested that after this session, the Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee and other authorities and sectors urgently strengthen communication and propagate the newly passed resolutions to ensure their early implementation and effectiveness.
