On August 28th, social media was abuzz with excitement as a new set of supercars owned by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu were spotted with Gumball 3000 decals, indicating their participation in the upcoming event in Ho Chi Minh City on September 14th. This time, all the newly added cars were from the prestigious Ferrari brand.

The appearance of the one-of-a-kind Ferrari 458 Speciale in Vietnam sparked excitement among car enthusiasts. The car was first brought to the country in 2016 and has since changed hands only twice. Its first owner was Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, who later sold it to a real estate tycoon in Saigon, who added it to his collection.

Mr. Vu’s Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is the second of its kind in Vietnam. The first one is owned by entrepreneur Hoang Kim Khanh. In addition to these two convertible variants (Spider), there are also two coupe versions of the 488 Pista in the country.

Originally, this Prancing Horse boasted a Rosso Fiorano red paint job with Nero Daytona sports decals. However, it has now been wrapped in a sleek gray decal to match the rest of Mr. Vu’s supercar collection.

Next up are the “elderly stallions” of the Ferrari family: the 430 Scuderi and the F430 Spider. There are only two 430 Scuderi models in Vietnam, and the F430 Spider is also considered a rare find.

Following the F430 duo is the Ferrari 360 Spider, the first of its kind in Vietnam, now sporting the Gumball 3000 decals. This supercar gained fame when it was brought to the country by the well-known car enthusiast Nguyen Quoc Cuong, also known as Cuong “dollar.”

After parting ways with its previous owner, this Ferrari changed hands several times. Its journey took it across Vietnam, from the north to the south, in search of new owners. Finally, in early 2023, it found its new home in Mr. Vu’s garage, joining his collection of supercars worth thousands of billions of VND.

The third Ferrari 458 Spider in Vietnam will also be joining the Gumball 3000 event in September. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 562 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque.

Another 488 GTB will be part of the Gumball 3000 rally. This model is equipped with a 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering 661 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque.

The last car to join the lineup is the Ferrari Roma, the second of its kind in Vietnam, imported by a private dealer. Unlike the first Roma, which sported a unique Blue Tour De France paint job, this sports car boasts the traditional Rosso Corsa red color. However, its owner later decided to wrap the entire exterior in silver to match the rest of the collection.

The Roma is one of the Ferrari models officially distributed in Vietnam, with a price tag of over 20 billion VND. According to statistics, there are currently around five Ferrari Romas in the country, imported by both official dealers and private collectors. The estimated price after registration and taxes for a white-plated Roma is approximately 25-26 billion VND.

Previously, Mr. Vu’s collection included six other supercars: the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari 599 GTB, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Ferrari 458 Spider, Ferrari 488 GTB, and Ferrari F8 Spider. Even with this impressive lineup, car enthusiasts are still hoping to see three other notable models in his collection: the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Senna, and Ford GT.
