Over 1,000 American mulberry trees, grown in a greenhouse system, are thriving at Suoi Tien Farm in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. The farm spans over 2 hectares, and its mulberries are currently in their peak season.

Representatives from Suoi Tien Farm shared that this fruit holds great economic potential in the market and is sought-after by connoisseurs due to its nutritional value and status as a premium delicacy.

The American mulberry garden at Suoi Tien Farm is divided into 3-4 areas to ensure year-round harvesting. On average, 50-80 kg of ripe mulberries are harvested daily and supplied to several supermarkets and imported fruit stores in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Hanoi.

American mulberries are larger than their Vietnamese counterparts and boast a deep yellow to purple hue when ripe. They have a soft, sweet, and juicy texture, with a pleasant aroma.

Visitors to the farm can enjoy the serene and tranquil atmosphere of a rural garden in the midst of the bustling Ho Chi Minh City. They can pick and savor the sweet, ripe American mulberries straight from the tree, an experience that many find delightful.

In addition to strolling through the lush mulberry rows and picking fruit, visitors can also indulge in a variety of dishes made from mulberries, such as mulberry juice, dried mulberries, chicken soup with mulberries, and squab stewed with American mulberries.

To ensure a spot for picking and tasting these American mulberries straight from the tree, visitors must register in advance and arrive early, as the harvesting process needs to be completed in the morning to avoid any negative impact on the trees.
