Vietjet’s Half-Year Audit Report for 2024 Shows Strong Revenue and Profit Growth

According to the report, the airline’s air transport revenue for the first half of 2024 reached VND 33,862 billion, a slight increase from the self-prepared report. Profit before tax reached VND 1,166 billion, a 688% increase compared to the same period last year.
In terms of consolidated business results, Vietjet achieved VND 34,030 billion in revenue and over VND 1,000 billion in pre-tax profit in the first six months of 2024, representing a 15% and 307% growth, respectively, compared to the previous year.
As of June 30, 2024, Vietjet’s total assets amounted to over VND 92,205 billion. Its debt-to-equity ratio stood at a healthy 2.16, well below the global average of 5. The liquidity ratio of 1.39 indicated a strong position in the aviation industry.
Saigon Ratings, an independent credit rating organization, maintained Vietjet’s long-term credit rating at vnBBB- with a “Stable” outlook. Vietjet contributed VND 3,687 billion in direct and indirect taxes and fees to the state budget in the first six months of 2024.
During the same period, Vietjet safely operated over 70,000 flights, carrying nearly 13.1 million passengers. International passenger numbers reached 5.5 million, and international flights exceeded 28,300, reflecting a 52% and 43% increase, respectively, compared to 2023. Vietjet led the industry in passenger carriage.
The airline currently operates more than 149 routes across Vietnam and internationally, including 38 domestic and 111 international routes.
Vietjet’s fleet consists of over 105 aircraft (including Vietjet Thailand), and the company is actively expanding its network across continents, developing a modern and environmentally friendly fleet.
At the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow, Vietjet and Airbus signed a contract for the purchase of 20 new-generation A330neo (A330-900) wide-body aircraft, valued at USD 7.4 billion.
