With a total area of nearly 16 hectares, the New Residential Area and Service Land have been undergoing land revocation for technical infrastructure investment since 2010. In 2015, the service land was allocated to the people. However, only about 30% of the residents have moved to the service land, while the new residential area remains uninhabited.

According to residents who have lived here for the past 15 years, the project land, left without further investment, has turned into overgrown wastelands, causing a waste of resources, while the people endure a polluted and disorderly environment.

Many areas have been encroached upon and turned into dumping grounds for construction materials.

The infrastructure, including roads and sidewalks, is deteriorating, and household and construction waste is scattered everywhere. The planned areas that once had roads and sidewalks are now abandoned and wasted.

The act of burning garbage heavily impacts residents due to the smoke.

Ms. Hoang Thi Linh, a local resident, shared that the garbage and waste situation has improved compared to before, as there have been workers coming to clean up recently. However, the garbage and waste inside the areas remain untouched.

The burning of garbage piles emits a strong, unpleasant odor that wafts into nearby homes, affecting the residents’ quality of life.
