During the days leading up to, during, and after the Lunar New Year of 2025, the construction site of the Long Thanh Airport project remained active to ensure the progress of the project.

According to the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, this Lunar New Year marks the third consecutive year that thousands of experts, engineers, and laborers have been working tirelessly on the various packages of the project.

For Package 4.6 (Construction, Installation of Equipment, and Design of Drawings for the Construction of Runway, Taxiway, and Aircraft Apron (Cargo Terminal, Hangar, and Isolation) and other items, the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV, the investor) is determined to direct the construction units to complete and put the runway into technical operation before April 30, 2025, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Reunification of the Country (April 30), three months ahead of schedule as per the contract.

During the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025, ACV and the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board required contractors to maintain at least 70% of their workforce, vehicles, and construction equipment. The contractors also planned to organize festive activities on the construction site to create a joyful and warm atmosphere for the workers.
Lieutenant Le Van Tien, Commander of the Package 4.6 Joint Venture, shared that besides the work plan, the unit had prepared a plan to take care of the workers’ welfare and benefits to ensure a happy Lunar New Year celebration on the construction site while fulfilling their tasks.

According to Mr. Duong Quang Dien, Deputy Director of the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, the contractors organized hundreds of construction sites with nearly 7,000 experts, engineers, workers, and laborers, along with nearly 3,000 construction equipment.
Mr. Dien also shared that to encourage and motivate the experts, engineers, and workers participating in the Lunar New Year construction, ACV and the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board planned to visit and present gifts to the officers, workers, and laborers directly involved in the construction during the holiday season.
