Shinhan Bank is committed to supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam by offering innovative financial solutions. One of their key initiatives is to facilitate quick and transparent access to capital, thereby enhancing payment efficiency, cash flow management, and driving digital transformation within the SME ecosystem.
Diverse Payment Methods with Shinhan POS
As the digital economy thrives and consumer preferences shift towards convenience, cashless payments are becoming inevitable. Moreover, Vietnam’s 2024 tax policies have mandated the use of cashless transactions and strengthened electronic invoice management. Shinhan Bank’s introduction of POS (Point of Sale) payment services in 2025 aims to provide SMEs with a modern and convenient payment solution. This goes beyond a mere payment tool, as it empowers businesses to enhance their customer experience, build a professional brand image, and adapt to the digital transformation in modern commerce.
The Shinhan POS service supports various payment methods, including cards (Visa, MasterCard, NAPAS), NFC, and QR codes, through the Smart POS PAX A910S device. This device easily integrates with sales management software, enabling real-time revenue and cash flow tracking. Businesses signing up for Shinhan POS are offered a cashback of 0.2%/machine/month (up to VND 3 million) for the first three months, along with free installation and a 12-month warranty. As of May 2025, Shinhan Bank has successfully installed nearly 1,000 POS machines for SMEs, businesses, and private enterprises.
To promote cashless payment solutions, especially to SMEs, Shinhan Bank participated in the “Cashless Day 2025” event organized by the State Bank of Vietnam and Tuoi Tre Newspaper on June 14-15, 2025. Mr. Kim Dae Hong, Deputy General Director of Shinhan Vietnam, also shared practical experiences from South Korea in promoting cashless payments and pledged to contribute to the development of effective solutions in Vietnam.

Optimizing Idle Funds with Free Transaction Notification Speaker
In 2024, Shinhan Bank introduced the SOHO MMDA account, specifically designed for SMEs, businesses, private enterprises, micro-enterprises, and small traders. This account type enables customers to earn daily interest based on their end-of-day balance tiers.
With a minimum balance of VND 15 million, customers can enjoy daily interest rates of up to 0.5%/year (subject to change). Interest is accumulated and paid on the third Saturday of each month. Customers maintain full flexibility in utilizing their balance while optimizing profits on idle funds.

Earn Daily Interest with the SOHO MMDA Account
To further support businesses in enhancing their operational efficiency, Shinhan launched a promotion campaign for the SOHO MMDA account from June 10, 2025, to October 10, 2025, titled “Open a SOHO MMDA Account and Experience the Ting Ting Speaker for Free.” As part of this campaign, customers who open a new SOHO MMDA account or already have one and meet the bank’s conditions (*) will be offered a free link to the Ting Ting speaker—an intelligent device that announces successful transactions with a voice notification.

By combining Shinhan’s POS service, the SOHO MMDA account, and the transaction notification speaker, businesses can create a seamless transaction ecosystem. This ecosystem encompasses quick payments, efficient cash flow management, profit optimization, and enhanced customer experience. As a result, businesses are empowered to increase their competitiveness in the era of modern commerce.
