As one of the leading contributors to Vietnam’s national budget, VIB has consistently been recognized with awards for its outstanding tax contributions to the Ho Chi Minh City government. In 2025, VIB was honored among the top 20 private banks and top 20 private enterprises with the highest tax contributions in Vietnam.
This achievement is a result of the bank’s sustained and stable core operations, which have demonstrated consistent growth over the years. Since its business model transformation in 2017, VIB has contributed over 14.5 trillion VND to the national budget in just 8 years. This not only highlights the bank’s operational efficiency but also underscores its commitment to sustainable practices, fostering the nation’s collective resources.
VIB is also deeply engaged in community initiatives, donating tens of billions of VND in 2024 alone to various programs. These include nationwide efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing, disaster relief, student scholarships, job fairs, and cultural and educational initiatives. Such activities reflect VIB‘s strong sense of social responsibility and its dedication to supporting the sustainable development of the communities it serves. VIB firmly believes that its growth is intrinsically linked to societal progress, a principle that drives its sustainable development journey.
In terms of business performance, VIB reported robust results for the first half of 2025. Credit growth and deposit mobilization both increased by 10%, driven by the successful launch of new lending and deposit products offering highly competitive interest rates. Asset quality improved significantly, with non-performing loans (Group 2) decreasing by over 17% year-on-year, thanks to effective risk management strategies and a positive economic outlook. With well-controlled operating costs and enhanced business efficiency, VIB achieved an after-tax profit of 5.016 trillion VND in the first six months, a 9% increase compared to the same period last year. Given the bank’s strong credit capacity and improved asset quality, it is poised to sustain positive business performance and continue making substantial contributions to the national budget.
