On February 1, the People’s Committee of Hanoi cooperated with Hoang Mai District to organize the ceremony of putting up signs for a road named Comrade Do Muoi, the former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Do Muoi Road is located in the Gamuda urban area, bordering the Belt Road 3 in Tran Phu Ward (Hoang Mai District).
The road is located at the southern gateway of the capital city, playing an important role as a vital connection between the capital city and the northern and northwestern provinces and the southern region.
The road has a length of 6,200m and a width of 68m, invested in synchronized infrastructure, sidewalks, green trees, and streetlights, as part of the investment project for Belt Road 3.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that the road named after Comrade Do Muoi is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the 107th anniversary of his birth (2/2/1917 – 2/2/2024). At the same time, it is also close to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hoang Mai District.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen requested that Hoang Mai District enhance activities of propaganda and education about the significance of historical and cultural works, as well as patriotic movements and achievements of the capital city and Hoang Mai District.
