The Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 appearing first in the Philippines is not surprising. The information has been released by Hyundai Philippines at the end of last year. This time, Hyundai Philippines revealed the price as well as more detailed information about the features that Southeast Asian buyers can expect from the new model.
In the Philippines, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is distributed in 3 versions: GLS 2WD, GLS AWD, and Calligraphy. All have three rows of seats with 7 seats. The prices range from 2,410,000 to 3,100,000 pesos, equivalent to 1.07-1.37 billion dong, higher than the US market (converted from 869.6 million dong to 1.23 billion dong). This price has also appeared on the Hyundai Philippines website.
The likelihood of this new model coming to Vietnam is very high, as it is one of the main cars of the Korean automaker in Vietnam. However, the price in Vietnam is likely to be higher than the price in the Philippines.
Currently, the listed price of the Hyundai Santa Fe sold in Vietnam ranges from 1.029 billion to 1.369 billion dong, equivalent to the price of the new Santa Fe in the Philippines. Since the 2024 Santa Fe in all countries has a higher price than the previous generation, it can be predicted that this model in Vietnam will also follow the same direction.
From the above table, it can be seen that the two GLS versions only have one interior color option, black, and the Calligraphy version has 2 options: Black In and Forest Green (Indent). For the exterior, the two GLS versions only have 3 color options, while the Calligraphy version has 6.
Thus, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe sold in Southeast Asia has fewer color options. Globally, the car has 10 color options, 11 in the US. The number of interior colors has also been reduced, from 5 globally to 3.
What does the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe have in Southeast Asia?
With a completely new appearance from inside out, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has a controversial design. More square and angular, the new model bears resemblance to the Land Rover Defender.
The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe has dimensions of 4,830 x 1,900mm x 1,770 mm (+10 mm for the highest version). Compared to the previous generation, this frame is 45 mm longer, 35 mm higher, while the width remains the same. The wheelbase is 2,815 mm and the ground clearance is 177 mm.
The cabin of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe looks more upscale with a “Plus Alpha” experience. It is a design that combines indoor-outdoor living, demonstrated through a high-tech cabin with the ability to easily carry multiple cargo. The digital instrument cluster and center touchscreen are combined behind a single curved glass to form a giant display on the dashboard.
The 2024 Santa Fe is one of Hyundai’s first products to use the latest infotainment software called “ccNC”. This system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, a 6-speaker audio system. In addition, there are smart keyless start button, fingerprint recognition scanner, UV-C tray for disinfecting items like mobile devices, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, center armrest for front and rear passengers, power-adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver.
All versions are leather-wrapped, with the Calligraphy version featuring luxurious Nappa leather. The second row seats can fold at a 60:40 ratio while the third row can fold at a 50:50 ratio. Last but not least, the Santa Fe is equipped with 6 charging ports, 12 cup holders, and 4 water bottle compartments.
Under the hood, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has two engine options. Providing power for the GLS 2WD and AWD variants is the 2.5L Smartstream inline-four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing 194 horsepower and a maximum torque of 246 Nm. 8-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Calligraphy AWD is equipped with the more powerful 2.5L Smartstream turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. This version uses an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
Thus, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe in Southeast Asia does not have the option of a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid engine and a 1.6L turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine similar to the South Korean, US, and European markets.
All versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 are equipped with high-performance shock absorbers, but the Calligraphy version has a self-leveling suspension for enhanced comfort. The GLS versions come with 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/45 tires, while the Calligraphy version has larger 21-inch alloy wheels with 245/45 tires.
All models of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe are equipped with SmartSense intelligent driving support, including smart cruise control, forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic collision avoidance, parking distance warning, speed limit assist, rear occupant alert, and a surround-view monitor.
Other safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, hill descent assist, tire pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a range of airbags (driver, passenger, side, and curtain).
