On April 20th, CEO Group officially opened the Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don Resort in the Sonasea Van Don Harbor City Complex in Van Don, Quang Ninh province. This is the first international 5-star resort to come into operation, marking CEO Group’s pioneering presence in Van Don Economic Zone, Quang Ninh.
Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don has a scale of 200 hotel rooms and seaside villas. The project is located in a beautiful location, with its back against the mountain and facing the heritage Bai Tu Long Bay with 600 impressive large and small islands, with a 2.2km long sandy beach, right on Provincial Road 334. Notably, the resort is only over 10 minutes from Van Don International Airport, over 2 hours’ drive from Hanoi capital, and less than an hour’s drive from the billion-dollar Chinese market through Mong Cai border gate.

Up to this point, Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don resort has achieved “6 bests” in Van Don: First, the largest hotel; Second, the first 5-star hotel; Third, the first international resort; Fourth, the first Wyndham brand; Fifth, the tallest building completed and put into operation; Sixth, as assessed in the project opening speech by Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, this is also the first project completed on schedule of the four key projects in Van Don in the past two years.
In the context that tourism and resort are still facing difficulties and have not yet recovered strongly, the opening of Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don is one of the important events, making a significant contribution to the tourism industry of Quang Ninh province. Also according to Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the National Tourism Administration, Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don will be an ideal destination for sea – island tourism, health care tourism, MICE tourism and high-class comprehensive services.
