During the meeting with provincial leaders on August 26, Mr. Xu Junqi, Chairman of Huolian Ceramic Industry Group, introduced the history and investment strategy of the Group. Huolian is a company specializing in the design, research and development, manufacturing, and sales of ceramic products. The Group’s strength lies in its vast market, with exports reaching 42 countries worldwide.
The Group has identified Thai Binh province as an attractive investment destination, especially for the ceramic industry, due to its abundant raw materials, plentiful labor force, and continuously improving infrastructure. Huolian is interested in investing in a “Ceramic Valley” project in Thai Binh with a total investment of approximately $200-230 million and creating employment for 5,000 workers.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, presented an overview of the province’s potential, strengths, and investment support policies, including those for the building materials industry. In 2023, the building materials industry in Thai Binh province achieved a production value of VND 5,421 billion and employed 25,652 workers, making it a significant employer of skilled labor. The province boasts abundant energy resources for ceramic production, including an on-site gas field with an annual production capacity of 200 million cubic meters of gas and a modern electrical infrastructure. In addition to readily available industrial land and a large land fund, investors in the economic zone are also entitled to attractive and practical incentive mechanisms and policies, along with efficient investment procedures.
The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated and welcomed the investment interest of Huolian Ceramic Industry Group. The provincial representative stated that the project aligns with the province’s development needs and is therefore encouraged. The Provincial People’s Committee will direct departments, sectors, and localities to create favorable conditions for the Group to conduct research and invest in the province in the coming time.
