Hyundai dealers are reporting limited stock of the popular Hyundai Tucson. According to sales consultants, the two lower-spec variants, the Gasoline Standard and Gasoline Special, are currently sold out. This C-segment CUV is now only available in two variants: the Diesel Special and the Turbo.
According to information from one dealership, the remaining two variants of the Hyundai Tucson are currently being offered with a slight discount. The Tucson Turbo, with a selling price of 919 million VND, has been reduced by 4 million VND to 915 million VND. This discount is considered insignificant for a vehicle with an on-the-road price of approximately 1 billion VND. The Hyundai Tucson Turbo is equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 177 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Meanwhile, the Diesel Special variant, originally priced at 909 million VND, has been discounted by 34 million VND and is now available for 875 million VND. This model is powered by a 2.0L diesel engine, delivering a maximum output of 183 horsepower and 416 Nm of torque. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Previously, multiple sources from dealerships indicated that a mid-life facelift for the Hyundai Tucson would be launched around November this year. Therefore, it is understandable that the vehicle is being offered with a discount and limited variants. However, Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam has not provided any confirmation regarding the new Tucson.
The 2024 Hyundai Tucson features subtle design changes to its exterior, primarily focused on the front end. The C-segment SUV now sports a Parametric Hidden Light grille with large hidden LED position lamps, similar to the previous version but with refined styling.
While the updates are not significant, they could still attract more customers to the Hyundai Tucson, enhancing its competitiveness against the segment’s best-seller, the Mazda CX-5. The Korean SUV has also led the segment in sales during certain months.
