Synchronous Implementation of Digital Transformation Projects; Ensuring the Progress of Key Projects
ACV has also synchronously implemented digital transformation projects in various fields. The effectiveness of digital transformation has modernized the operation of airports.
The automatic toll collection project without stopping at 05 airports of Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Danang, Cat Bi, and Phu Bai has completed the installation of equipment, successfully conducted trials, and signed a service contract with Epay. The project is now substantially complete and ready for official implementation.
The A-CDM project has optimized infrastructure and equipment after three years, reducing flight delays and waiting times for take-off and landing for airlines. ACV organized a conference with the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) regarding the coordination of A-CDM and ATFM Level 3 deployment; ACV-VATM has reported to the Vietnam Aviation Administration to continue resolving obstacles to complete the project.
At the same time, ACV has put into operation the SCN and iCute infrastructure network at 21 airports to deploy online checking for domestic airlines; AODB, iCute, FIDS, and PAS are being tested at DIA and secondary and tertiary airports.
For the project on the application of CCCD with a chip, VneID Level 2, and biometric technology for air passengers, the integration of VneID Level 2 and biometric technology for the entire process of 03 touchpoints has been completed at the ACV Lab. ACV reported to the Vietnam Aviation Administration and proposed official deployment at Phu Bai, Cat Bi, and Dien Bien airports.
In addition, the ACV self-Services system (common-use kiosk check-in, self-bag drop, and ABGS) has been officially deployed for Vietnam Airlines at Cat Bi and Phu Bai International Airports. Coordination with Vietnam Airlines to integrate with the new Amadeus DCS continues, with cut-over at Cat Bi expected to be completed soon.
ACV also provided information on the progress of key projects such as the Terminal T3 Project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, with concrete and rebar work at 100% completion, architectural work at 80%, steel roof structure at 93%, and electromechanical work at 80%. One-third of the elevators and 10 of the 35 escalators have been installed. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation before April 30, 2025.
At the Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1, the packages have been implemented synchronously, with some items ahead of schedule. Specifically, Package 5.10: The passenger terminal has completed all concrete and rebar work for columns, beams, and floors of levels 1, 2, and 3 and is currently constructing the concrete and rebar work for the level 4 floor (66.8% complete). It is expected that the entire concrete and rebar structure will be completed by the end of August-September 2024, after which the construction of the steel roof structure will begin as planned and according to the contract.
For Package 4.6 of the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Project, the construction progress is being carried out as scheduled. The contractors are focusing their resources, equipment, and materials to strive for the technical exploitation of the runway by April 30, 2025. The construction items of the package have been inspected, supervised, and accepted according to the technical standards of the project, ensuring quality and progress requirements.
The expansion project of Terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport was inaugurated on May 19, 2024. The progress of the construction of the expansion of the terminal and auxiliary works and the renovation and conversion of the terminal function is on schedule. It is expected to be completed by December 30, 2025.
