Vietnam’s stock market recorded a rather lackluster trading session on Monday, September 16th. The VN-Index, after failing to conquer the 1,255-1,260 region, plunged deeply below the 1,240-point threshold. At the close, the VN-Index dropped by more than 12 points to 1,239.26. Foreign exchange transactions were a positive factor, unexpectedly reversing to net buying with a value of over VND 253 billion in the entire market.
Securities companies’ proprietary trading recorded a net buy value of VND 79 billion on all three exchanges.
On the HoSE exchange, securities companies’ proprietary trading net bought VND 36 billion, including a net sell of VND 74 billion on the matching channel but net bought VND 111 billion on the negotiated channel.
Specifically, the securities companies with the highest net buying were VIX with VND 184 billion, mostly in negotiated trading. This was followed by GAS and STN with net buying values of VND 20 billion and VND 11 billion, respectively. Additionally, stocks such as TCB, VIB, GMD, and SSB were also net bought during the September 16th session.
On the contrary, securities companies with the highest net selling were VCB and HPG, with respective values of VND 45 billion and VND 23 billion. Other stocks that were net sold during this session included PNJ, MSN, SSI, and FUEVFVND…
On the HNX exchange, securities companies’ proprietary trading net sold over VND 900 million, with IDC and VCS being net sold at VND 4 billion and VND 2 billion, respectively. Conversely, DL1 and MBS were net bought at VND 3 billion and over VND 1 billion.
On the UPCoM exchange, securities companies’ proprietary trading net bought VND 44 billion, with BSR once again being the focus as it was net bought at VND 40 billion. VNZ was also net bought at VND 6 billion, while MCH was net sold at VND 2 billion.
