On September 26, Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Company (TTC Land, Code: SCR) and AEON MALL Vietnam Joint Stock Company (AEON MALL Vietnam) signed a lease contract for the total commercial area of TTC Plaza Da Nang project.
According to the signed agreement, AEON MALL Vietnam will lease, complete, and operate the AEON MALL commercial center, spanning four floors of the commercial services block at TTC Plaza Da Nang – a complex building located on Dien Bien Phu Street, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City.
The project boasts 18 floors and two basements, comprising a hotel-tourist apartment tower and a 14-floor office tower sharing a four-floor commercial services podium. The total floor area exceeds 122,000 sq. m.
Mr. Tetsuyuki Nakagawa, Director-General of AEON MALL Vietnam, shared: “Since 2010, TTC Group and AEON Group have collaborated on the first project, AEON MALL Tan Phu, in the Celadon City complex (Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City).
Unlike the project transfer approach, the lease model fosters a close and long-lasting relationship between the project owner and the lessee. After an extended collaboration, TTC Group and AEON MALL Vietnam have officially become partners in developing this total lease model.”

This will be AEON MALL Vietnam’s first commercial center in Da Nang.
Recently, AEON MALL Vietnam has been actively expanding its retail market share. Prior to this, on September 21, AEON MALL Vietnam, in coordination with Thua Thien Hue Province, inaugurated the AEON MALL Hue commercial center in An Van Duong urban area, An Dong Ward, Hue City. This is the company’s seventh mall in Vietnam.
AEON MALL Hue spans four floors and one basement, with a total rental area of approximately 51,000 sq. m. The center houses about 140 stores and entertainment areas. Notably, 83 stores, accounting for 70%, are brands making their debut in Hue.
On September 26, AEON Vietnam inaugurated its eighth supermarket – AEON Tạ Quang Bửu General Merchandise & Supermarket Center (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). With an area of 7,000 sq. m, AEON Tạ Quang Bửu includes a supermarket, Delica self-service dining area, private label product zone, and exclusive AEON stores.

The Director-General of AEON MALL Vietnam shared that the recently inaugurated AEON MALL Hue welcomed over 330,000 visitors in just six days. This is the company’s seventh mall in Vietnam and the first in the central region.
Outlining the company’s long-term business plan in Vietnam, he stated that they had obtained the Investment Registration Certificate for the AEON MALL project in Ha Long City (Quang Ninh) and Thanh Hoa City. The company is expediting necessary procedures to commence these projects soon.
The Prime Minister suggested that the company consider investing in Khanh Hoa, the Central Highlands (Dak Lak, Gia Lai), Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Nghe An, and other locations. These areas offer strategic connections for the supply chain between Vietnam and Japan through AEON.
AEON is one of the world’s largest retail trading groups, with 179 joint ventures in and outside Japan. In Vietnam, AEON officially commenced operations in 2009 as a representative office (December 1, 2009 – July 10, 2012).
In October 2011, AEON Vietnam Joint Stock Company was officially established in Ho Chi Minh City. This marked a significant milestone in the Japanese giant’s journey into Vietnam’s retail market.
In 2014, AEON made its first investment move by inaugurating AEON MALL Tan Phu (Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City). In subsequent years, the company continuously invested in additional shopping malls (TTTM) in many provinces and major cities nationwide.
As part of its long-term strategy, the AEON Group will continue to strengthen its investments in Vietnam, its second most important market.
