According to statistics from Thanh Hoa Customs Department, as of April 15, 2024, the department has contributed over 6,208 billion VND to the state budget, reaching 45.81% of the target set by the Ministry of Finance, an increase of 28.01% compared to 2023. Revenue from crude oil reached 5,231.9 billion VND, accounting for 84% of the department’s total state budget revenue.

The total budget revenue of this province in the first 4 months of this year is estimated at 18,214 billion VND, equivalent to 51% of the estimate and an increase of 26% compared to the same period last year.

In the first over 4 months of this year, Thanh Hoa’s import-export turnover reached 4.34 billion USD, an increase of 35% compared to the same period. In which, the province’s export turnover reached 1.38 billion USD, an increase of 29.8%, while import turnover reached 2.96 billion USD, an increase of 38.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

The main import and export items at Thanh Hoa Customs Department include: various types of construction stone products, clinker, wood chips; re-exported gasoline and oil; cement, steel, construction materials, frozen seafood, and garment products.

In addition, other import and export products include automobile assembly components; machinery, equipment, means of transportation, spare parts for investment and expanded investment projects; processed raw materials, raw materials for the production of modern medicine; equipment for construction projects in Nghi Son Economic Zone; crude oil, gypsum for cement production, iron ore, sawn timber, and rattan.

Since the beginning of this year, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has processed customs clearance for 38,900 declarations, an increase of 23.6% compared to the same period. In which, the proportion of green lane declarations reached over 84%.

In parallel with facilitating business operations, in the months of 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs also promoted and effectively implemented post-clearance inspection work.

As of the end of April 2024, the department has completed inspections of 4 enterprises and has contributed nearly 242 million VND to the budget.

In the coming period, Thanh Hoa Customs Department will continue to implement administrative procedure reforms and simplification in the customs sector towards convenience, transparency, and clarity, creating maximum convenience for the business community while ensuring strict supervision and management in accordance with the provisions of the law. Thereby, the department contributes to improving the investment and business environment, and enhancing the competitiveness index of departments and sectors.

At the same time, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has implemented synchronous and drastic solutions to facilitate trade, enhance the effectiveness of state management, and prevent revenue losses in implementing the task of collecting the state budget in 2024. The department aims to achieve budget revenue of over 9,500 billion VND by the end of the second quarter of 2024, reaching 70.5% of the assigned target, an increase of over 7% compared to the same period.
