Vietnamese Edtech Platform Among ‘Rising Stars’ in Global Edtech Rankings

This is the only Southeast Asian representative ranked as a "rising star" in Edtech industry worldwide.

Recently, online education platform VUIHOC was placed 3rd in the “rising stars” rankings of the world’s Edtech industry in 2024 (TIME World’s Top EdTech Rising Stars of 2024) conducted by TIME magazine (USA) and market research firm Statista. VUIHOC is also the only representative from the Southeast Asian region included in this list.

Accordingly, in addition to the list of the world’s top 250 educational technology (EdTech) companies, Statista and TIME also announced the rankings of the “rising stars” in the world’s Edtech market in 2024 (TIME World’s Top EdTech Rising Stars of 2024) to honor the organizations with the highest revenue growth rate in the past three years.

The Edtech list includes 15 of these “rising stars” which was determined by Statista and TIME based on the following criteria: Company was founded less than 10 years ago; Minimum revenue of $1 million in 2021; Revenue growth of more than 20% over the past 3 years. Among them, VUIHOC is the sole representative of the Southeast Asian region included in this ranking.

According to a VUIHOC spokesperson, this is recognition for the tireless efforts of the VUIHOC development team in carrying out the mission of becoming the leading trusted education platform. “We aim to continue creating even more positive impacts on the Vietnamese education industry within the next 5 years”, the VUIHOC spokesperson affirmed.

Also in 2023, VUIHOC received an investment of $6 million from the Series A funding round led by TNB Aura. With this investment, VUIHOC has accelerated the development of artificial intelligence technology with the aim of bringing a personalized learning experience that is optimized to the needs of each individual student.

VUIHOC currently has more than 300,000 students enrolled, and over 2,000,000 downloads. Its main products include: VUIHOC Duo (Online group classes); VUIHOC Tutor (One-on-one or small group online tutoring classes), VUIHOC THPT (Comprehensive university entrance exam preparation solutions); VUIHOC Station (In-person learning model – Online Merge Offline)

According to the “2024 Vietnam Technology and Innovation Investment Report” published by the National Innovation Center (NIC) – of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Forbes Vietnam and Do Ventures on April 26th, in 2023, although Vietnamese startups received a total investment capital of $529 million, a decrease of 17%, however, the education sector (Edtech) received the highest capital of all time, an increase of 107% over the same period last year.
