VIB takes the next step in its “3-first” strategy (AI first, Mobile first, Cloud first) by continuously investing in retraining and enhancing its technology workforce. This move reaffirms its commitment to providing modern, safe, and convenient banking products and services with the best customer experience. Through this integration, VIB’s employees can access over 600 free courses and learning plans for AWS services, ranging from basic to advanced levels. Additionally, they gain access to practical, interactive courses on innovation with AWS Cloud, covering artificial intelligence, machine learning, security, databases, and storage.

Since 2020, VIB has been transitioning its infrastructure and applications to the cloud, achieving impressive results. More than 10 applications have been deployed on AWS, and this number is expected to exceed 30, including core banking applications, within the next three years. Building on AWS Cloud has also enabled VIB to accelerate its product development speed by an average of 35% and achieve cost savings of approximately 23%.

During this process, VIB has focused on partnering with leading technology companies worldwide to enhance the capabilities of its technology team, particularly through information-sharing programs and specialized training in cloud, data management, and analytics solutions. This early foundation has been instrumental in instilling a digital mindset in VIB’s employees, enabling them to offer technology-intensive products, solutions, and applications that are highly regarded by customers and recognized by the domestic and international markets and prestigious organizations.

From 2017 onwards, VIB has maintained a high and sustainable growth rate in digital transactions, with almost double the number of transactions year after year. In 2023, VIB recorded 340 million digital transactions, corresponding to a transaction value of 111 billion USD. Over 94% of retail transactions were conducted through digital channels, and millions of customers used digital banking services regularly every month. In the same year, the bank’s mobile banking application, MyVIB, was recognized as Vietnam’s Fastest Growing Mobile Banking App by International Finance. In 2024, VIB is expected to reach 510 million digital transactions with a total transaction value of 150 billion USD.
