“There are signs that Ms. Loan colluded with Le Y Linh, Chairman of Retro Harvest Finance LLC, Dang Phuoc Dua, former Chairman of Viet Tin Commercial Investment JSC, and individuals from the Vietnam Rubber Group, Dong Nai Rubber Company, and Ba Ria Rubber Company. They signed agreements and cooperation deals to invest and transfer capital contributions, allowing Quoc Cuong Gia Lai to acquire 100% capital at the land plot without a public auction, which is against the law. This caused hundreds of billions of dong in losses to the State,” said
The spokesperson also shared that, so far, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has prosecuted 17 defendants. The accused were charged with “Violation of regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing losses and waste; Receiving bribes; and Abuse of position and power while performing official duties.”
According to the spokesperson, the Investigation Police Agency is currently consolidating documents and evidence regarding the violations of the prosecuted defendants. At the same time, they are expanding the investigation, applying measures according to the law to thoroughly recover state assets.
Regarding the case at Thai Duong Group Joint Stock Company and related units,
The defendants were charged with “Violation of regulations on research, exploration, and exploitation of resources; Violation of accounting regulations causing serious consequences; Smuggling; Consumption of property obtained by others through the commission of a crime; and Violation of regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing losses and waste.”
Regarding the violations of Mr. Nguyen Linh Ngoc, former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment,
“Mr. Nguyen Linh Ngoc, despite knowing that Thai Duong Group Joint Stock Company did not meet the conditions for licensing, still assessed that they met the requirements and proposed and signed the issuance of a mineral exploitation license, handing over rare earth resources to Thai Duong Group Joint Stock Company for exploitation. This led to the illegal exploitation by Thai Duong Group, causing a loss of minerals worth an estimated VND 600 billion to the State,” said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security.
The Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security is continuing to expand the investigation, clarify the criminal acts of related individuals in the case, and apply measures according to the law to recover state assets.
Indictment of Phuc Son Corporation Chairman Nguyen Van Hau
The suspects have been indicted for engaging in fraudulent activities, including forgery and manipulation, to conceal revenue and related assets outside the accounting books, causing significant damage to the State.
