EVNGENCO3 successfully accomplishes its electricity production goals for 2024

In 2024, the total electricity production of the Corporation reached 26.437 billion kWh, achieving 91.95% of the plan approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders. The plants operated stably, meeting the mobilization needs of the power system, especially during the peak months of the 2024 dry season, contributing to the completion of the task of providing electricity for socio-economic development and serving the needs of the people.

As a result, the company’s mother’s revenue from sales and provision of services in the fourth quarter reached VND 11,014 billion. Gross profit from sales and provision of services was VND 991 billion, an increase of VND 521 billion, mainly due to electricity sales volume being higher by 588.77 million kWh compared to the same period in 2023.

Financial lease debt continues to decrease

As of December 31, 2024, EVNGENCO3’s asset scale reached VND 52,917 billion. The capital structure continued to improve as payables at the end of 2024 decreased by more than 6% compared to the beginning of the year. Specifically, short-term and long-term financial lease loans decreased by a total of VND 4,005 billion, to VND 31,759 billion. In recent years, EVNGENCO3 has consistently worked to reduce its loan debt. Compared to the end of 2018 – the time after the Corporation completed its equitization and listed its shares – financial lease debt has been reduced by almost half.

On December 31, 2024, the State Capital Management Commission approved the settlement of the equitization of the Parent Company of Power Generation Corporation 3 – Joint Stock Company, which is an important premise for EVNGENCO3 to implement its restructuring to create resources for investment and development in the coming time.

As of the trading session on January 24, 2025, PGV shares were trading at VND 19,400 per share, with a market capitalization of VND 21,795 billion.
