Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex (SEHC), a leading electronics company based in Ho Chi Minh City, has recently announced significant updates to its business registration, expanding its operational scope to include a broader range of industries.
Prior to this update, SEHC operated in nine sectors within Vietnam, notably focusing on the research and development of high-tech electronic products, manufacturing of consumer electronics, and operating multi-specialty clinics and dental services.
With the latest revision, SEHC has increased its operational sectors to 20. Key additions include the production of metal components (industry code 2511), electronic component manufacturing (2610), computer and peripheral equipment manufacturing (2620), and specialized machinery production (2829), featuring innovative products like smart home robots.
In Vietnam, Samsung operates four major manufacturing facilities: Samsung Thai Nguyen (SEVT) in Thai Nguyen Province, Samsung Bac Ninh (SEV) and Samsung Display Vietnam (SDV) in Bac Ninh Province, and Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex (SEHC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the South Korean conglomerate’s report, the combined revenue of these four plants reached 43.372 trillion won, marking a 3.2% increase. SEHC contributed significantly with
4.010 trillion won
, accounting for nearly 10% of the total revenue.
In terms of profitability, SEVT led Samsung Vietnam’s earnings with 1.200 trillion won, followed by SEV with 813 billion won, SDV with 402 billion won, and SEHC with
257 billion won
. The total profit across the four plants amounted to 2.673 trillion won, reflecting a 9.1% decline.
To date, Samsung’s presence in Vietnam encompasses six manufacturing plants, one Research and Development (R&D) center, and one sales entity. As the largest foreign direct investor in Vietnam, Samsung has committed a total investment of 23.2 billion USD.
