Updated at 16:00, domestic gold prices fluctuated significantly compared to this morning. SJC gold price unexpectedly increased in the buying session while decreasing in the selling session. As a result, the buying price – selling price difference narrowed significantly to about 1.2 million VND/tael.
In detail, Saigon Jewelry and Gemstone Company listed SJC gold prices at 76.5-77.7 million VND/tael, increasing by 800 thousand VND/tael in the buying session and decreasing by 200 thousand VND/tael in the selling session compared to this morning.
Similarly, Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC also increased the buying price and decreased the selling price compared to this morning, currently listing at 76.3-78.5 million VND/tael. DOJI Corporation applied prices of 76.25-78.45 million VND/tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau listed prices of 76.6-78.45 million VND/tael.
The price of 24k gold remained stable, with no significant changes compared to this morning.

SJC Gold Price
At 9:00, Saigon Jewelry and Gemstone Company listed SJC gold prices at 75.7-77.9 million VND/tael, decreasing by 500 thousand VND/tael compared to yesterday.
Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC also adjusted prices down by 300-500 thousand VND/tael compared to the previous session, currently applying prices of 75.7-77.9 million VND/tael.
Similarly, DOJI Corporation decreased prices to 75.65-77.85 million VND/tael, which is about 600 thousand VND/tael lower than yesterday. Bao Tin Minh Chau also reduced prices to 76.05-77.85 million VND/tael.
In the previous session on February 21, SJC gold prices increased significantly by about 500-800 thousand VND/tael, at the same time, the buying price – selling price difference reduced from 3 million to 2-2.2 million VND/tael. As of the morning of February 22, the buying price – selling price difference is about 1.8-2.2 million VND/tael, depending on the listed prices of each store.
24k Plain Gold Price
Prices of plain round gold have fluctuated significantly in recent days. The price of 24k gold surged on the God of Fortune Day (February 19) and then sharply fell on February 20. In the past two days (February 21-22), this type of gold has slightly increased by about 200-300 thousand VND/tael.
Currently, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed prices of 64.42-65.52 million VND/tael for 9999 rings gold. DOJI Corporation applied prices of 64.00-65.20 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, Saigon Jewelry and Gemstone Company and Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC listed lower prices, at 63.4-64.6 million VND/tael and 63.3-64.5 million VND/tael, respectively.
Significant Price Difference Between Domestic and International Gold Prices
On the international market, spot gold prices are currently at 2,028 USD/ounce, equivalent to about 60.5 million VND/tael when converted at the VND/USD exchange rate, excluding tax. Accordingly, domestic gold is about 19 million VND/tael higher than international gold prices.
The gold market continues to calm down as expectations for the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy easing cycle continue to be pushed back.
