In recent years, several social housing projects (NƠXH) have seen a surge in applications, far exceeding the number of available units. This has left many prospective buyers facing the prospect of missing out after the selection process. However, for those who were unable to secure a home, there is still hope. A wave of new NƠXH projects in Hanoi is set to launch, with applications opening from late 2025 and early 2026, offering another chance to own a social housing unit.

The Da Nang People's Committee has mandated a thorough investigation and strict penalties for illegal brokerage activities, including "cò mồi" (property touts), advance booking fees, "guaranteed application success" charges, and the unauthorized sale of "diplomatic slots" for social housing units.

At the behest of Hanoi's People's Committee, 51 industrial production facilities and 15 agency headquarters are slated to relocate outside the city center. Among them are prominent enterprises occupying prime real estate, alongside historically significant landmarks such as the Gia Lam Railway Factory and the Hanoi Beer Factory.
