2-month salary bonus and a mattress gift for Tet
The internet recently shared an image of a company giving Tet gifts to its officers and employees in the form of mattresses. Immediately after the image was shared, many people showed their interest and support.
May Song Hong Nam Dinh Company representative said that gifting mattresses for Tet to employees and staff is not the first time. This year, in addition to the 13th and 14th month salaries, the company also gives cotton mattresses of 7cm thickness to workers, valued at over 4 million VND per mattress.
May Song Hong Nam Dinh currently has about 13,000 employees. In addition to mattresses and bonuses, workers in this company also receive other gifts, worth about 400,000 VND.
Spending billions buying fish as Tet gifts
The social network community is buzzing as the Tuyen than Cua Ong Company, a member of Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Group, spends over 4.8 billion VND buying live ocean fish as Tet gifts for officers and employees.
This company currently has about 3,700 employees and workers. Each person will receive about 5kg of live ocean fish for Tet. The amount of money to buy the fish comes from the company’s welfare fund.
Notably, this is not the first time the company has bought fish as gifts for workers.
This year, in addition to the Tet bonus of 8 million VND per person, the company also supports each person with the 13th month salary (about 13 million VND).
Tet bonus in gold
Along with cash bonuses and gifts, many companies also give additional bonuses in gold to long-term employees. An official from Freetrend company’s trade union (Linh Trung 1 Export Processing Zone, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that besides Tet bonuses, the company has a tradition of awarding gold to long-term workers. For example, those loyal to the company for 10 years will receive 1 tael of gold, and for 20 years will receive 1.5 taels of gold.
A similar initiative was shared by the Board of Directors of Far Eastern Apparel Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Binh Duong Province). The company decided to give thanks gifts to 24 workers who have been with the company for 15 years, each gift consisting of 1 tael of gold, a thank-you note, and flowers.
