The stock price of CTR of Viettel Construction Corporation (Viettel Construction – Ticker: CTR) has just had an extraordinary session against the market when it surged to a new record high of VND 112,500 per share. Since the beginning of 2024, this stock has increased over 25% in value. Its market capitalization has also reached a record high of nearly VND 12,900 billion, doubling the figure from a year ago.

The strong increase in CTR stock brings joy to shareholders. In the current shareholder structure, apart from Viettel Group holding 65.7% of the capital, Viettel Construction only has one other major shareholder, which is a group related to Mr. Doan Hong Viet – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Digiworld Corporation (Digiworld – Ticker: DGW).

Half a year ago, when CTR dropped to the maximum limit with record liquidity on September 22, 2023, Mr. Doan Hong Viet bought an additional 1.43 million CTR shares, equivalent to 1/3 of the liquidity of that session. Estimated at the closing price of CTR in that session, the Chairman of Digiworld could have spent over a hundred billion dong on this deal.

After that transaction, Mr. Viet has increased his ownership to nearly 2.82 million shares, equivalent to 2.46% of Viettel Construction’s charter capital. Meanwhile, the organization related to Mr. Viet, Created Future, has held 3 million CTR shares (ratio of 2.62%) since before. Thus, the group of shareholders related to Mr. Viet is currently holding a total of over 5.8 million shares, equivalent to 5.08% of Viettel Construction’s charter capital.

Based on the current CTR market price, Mr. Viet alone has made a profit of over 50 billion dong with the additional shares he bought half a year ago. Even if “chasing the peak” with the number of CTR shares he previously held (directly and indirectly through Created Future), the group of shareholders related to the Chairman of Digiworld is still making a significant profit from this investment, not to mention the dividends received.

After a booming year with record business indicators, Viettel Construction has set a relatively cautious plan for 2024. The company aims to achieve consolidated total revenue of over VND 12,653 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 671.4 billion, an increase of 10% and 4% respectively compared to the 2023 performance.

In the first month of the year, Viettel Construction is estimated to achieve revenue of VND 868.7 billion, an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2023. Pre-tax profit is estimated at VND 49.8 billion, an increase of 17% compared to the same period in 2023. With the achieved results, the company has implemented 6.9% of the annual revenue plan and 7.4% of the profit target.

Created Future, where Mr. Doan Hong Viet holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, is currently the largest shareholder at Digiworld, holding over 53 million DGW shares (32% of the capital). Mr. Doan Hong Viet mainly holds shares in Digiworld through this organization.
