Mr. Bui Van Manh, Director of Ninh Binh Tourism Department, said that he had received information about the group and would offer support such as arranging for dedicated staff, reception, and a separate visiting area at the Trang An Scenic Complex.
“The reception process won’t be too challenging as we have experience handling large groups,” Mr. Manh said, adding that supporting this large group will set a precedent and attract other large groups in the future.
Ms. Nguyen Huyen Anh, Director of Quang Ninh Tourism Department, shared that the Indian group is expected to visit Ha Long Bay from August 29th to September 3rd. This is the largest and highest-quality Indian group to ever visit Quang Ninh.
The Ha Long Bay Management Board is ready to support the tour with prepared introductions to the destination in Hindi, one of the official languages of India.
Ms. Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh, Director of Marketing at Vietravel, said, “We will be welcoming 4,500 guests, divided into smaller groups arriving in Vietnam from August 27th to September 7th.”
The guests are employees of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company, coming from various countries but mainly from India.
The owner of the corporation is one of the richest billionaires in India and is expected to accompany the group to Vietnam.
Ms. Khanh mentioned that the group had made the arrangements about three months in advance and that this is the first time the company has handled a group of this scale. Previously, Indian groups typically consisted of 100-200 people.
The group will be visiting Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay.
