Data shows that over 50 transactions this month have contributed to funding projects surpassing the $90 billion milestone, where it has been tracking capital flows into the relatively new field since 2017. Block Research separates new funding announcements into separate categories: web3, infrastructure, DeFi, NFT/gaming, cryptocurrency financial services, trading and brokerage, data and analytics, and finally enterprise.According to data from The Block Research, since the beginning of the year, over 230 transactions have been reported with a total amount close to $1.3 billion.

By 2024, the majority of funding has been allocated to DeFi, infrastructure, NFTs/gaming, and web3 projects.Risk investors and venture capitalists have heavily participated in funding rounds including Animoca Brands, Polychain Capital, Framework Ventures, and Shima Capital.
