(Binh Tan District), Ms. Nhung registered and successfully interviewed for the job. Now she has a job at the company.

Currently, PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. needs to recruit 1,000 workers and is willing to hire workers over 40 years old if they have skills. According to the recruitment information, the company commits to fully implement insurance policies and welfare benefits according to legal regulations. The company and the Trade Union also support workers in difficult circumstances by giving gifts on special occasions such as holidays, Tet, and birthdays. In addition, the company provides transportation for workers from Tien Giang, Long An, Tay Ninh, Ben Tre, and Dong Thap.

The company provides free general clinics with a variety of equipment, free language and computer classes, as well as classes for other skills. The company also offers annual salary increases and many opportunities for promotion.

In an interview with Người Lao Động newspaper, a representative from PouYuen Co., Ltd. said that the company needs to recruit a large number of workers due to the recovery of orders. In addition, the company needs to rehire workers who took time off after Tet. “After interviews and skill assessments, qualified individuals will be hired, regardless of whether they are new or existing workers,” said the company representative.

PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. is considered the largest labor-intensive enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City and is part of the international group Pouchen Taiwan (China), specializing in shoe production. In 2023, the company faced many difficulties, resulting in a reduction of over 9,000 workers. However, by the end of 2023, the company announced that the order situation had improved, ensuring job stability for workers.

According to the Forecasting Center for Labor Demand and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City (Falmi) under the Department of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, the estimated labor force in the city in 2024 will be over 5.1 million people.

According to Falmi, Ho Chi Minh City needs an additional 300,000 – 320,000 workers in 2024

With a target growth rate of 8 – 8.5% for Ho Chi Minh City, Falmi forecasts that an additional 300,000 – 320,000 workers will be needed in 2024. Specifically, in the first quarter of 2024, about 77,500 – 86,000 workers will be needed, in the second quarter, about 75,470 – 77,168 workers, in the third quarter, about 68,910 – 73,504 workers, and in the fourth quarter, about 78,120 – 83,328 workers.

By industry sector, the new labor demand is mainly concentrated in the trade and services sector (71.31% of the total demand), followed by the industrial – construction sector (28.58%), and the agriculture – forestry – fisheries sector (0.11%).
