In order to improve and revamp the residential area along Dang Ba Hat Road (in Hong Gai Ward and Yet Kieu Ward), creating a modern, elegant pedestrian street that is in line with the natural landscape, improving the embankment to create a highlight for tourism development…, Ha Long City is currently developing a project to plan, renovate, and revamp the residential area along Dang Ba Hat Road, with an expected completion date by the end of 2024.
The Dang Ba Hat hill area includes a residential area covering over 71,000m2; an administrative land area of nearly 6,400m2; a hillside embankment of over 15,000m2; and a 1km long Dang Ba Hat road, with an average road width of 6.5m and expanded sections ranging from 8-11.5m. This area is located in the center of the city, conveniently connected to transportation and adjacent to the coastal road.
According to the design plan, Ha Long City will renovate the space in a modern, uncluttered way, creating a harmonious landscape architecture that blends well with the surrounding environment, while also creating a unique architectural form. Taking Dang Ba Hat road and the 5 road axes from the alleys as the backbone for landscape and urban development.
The main goal is to renovate, build technical infrastructure, create a landscape with greenery to create tourism highlights, combined with renovating and revamping the adjacent residential area along the Dang Ba Hat road, forming a tourism development highlight with a unique landscape architecture. At the same time, minimize the risk of landslide in this area due to the hilly terrain.
Therefore, the project will design green spaces and parks, landscapes along the Dang Ba Hat road with an area of over 60,000m2; construct some iconic symbols as highlights combined with walking paths, main “check-in” points for tourists. Small service facilities such as toilets, entertainment areas, storage facilities… will be designed and placed underground below the park to increase land use density. The total investment for the project is about 150 billion VND.
The city also encourages functional departments and agencies to coordinate with research units to connect the road to Dang Ba Hat hill with nearby service areas and destinations to create tourism routes, new tourism products that attract residents and tourists. At the same time, step by step orienting and encouraging people to provide services, engage in tourism to exploit the effective potential and outstanding advantages of this area.
