The connection road from the province’s West to the coast is 19.20 km long, with a road width of 12m and 2 bridges on the route, including Van 1 Bridge and Song Phi Bridge. The total investment in the route is nearly 820 billion VND.

According to the provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the current disbursement for the road construction is 296.8 billion VND, reaching nearly 57%. By the end of 2024, the road will be completed and put into use.

The formation of east-west connecting roads will expand the space of Phu My district towards the sea, facilitating trade between regions, gradually improving infrastructure, and contributing to the socio-economic development as well as ensuring the local security and defense.

The connection road from the West to the East will be asphalted by the end of June 2024.

Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, said that currently the agency is urging the construction units to strive to asphalt the entire road by the end of June, and by the end of 2024, the road will be completed and put into use. The board has also developed a plan to ensure the efficient operation of this road when completed.

Regarding the use of aggregate chippings for the road base layer, the agency has been working with stone mine owners because there are currently many stone mines in Binh Dinh province with considerable reserves, but only a few can ensure the particle composition and stone quality.

The connection road from the West to the East will be asphalted by the end of June 2024.

During the on-site inspection of the entire route, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, said that the province requires the construction units to ensure the quality of the project and consider the quality of the project as the top priority. The construction packages can be delayed slightly, but the quality must be guaranteed. Especially, the quality of the stone used during the construction process must be ensured, and low-quality stones must not be used. In the near future, the province will request the Department of Construction to inspect the quality of the stone along the entire road. In addition to this key project, the department must also inspect the quality of stones at other construction sites in the province.
