In recent days, the HCMC Market Surveillance Department has established inspection teams to screen gold businesses in many districts and towns. Recently, Inspection Team No. 6 established 6 inspection delegations, in coordination with the People’s Committee and the District Police to simultaneously launch surprise inspections of 6 gold trading points in District 6 and District 8.

The inspection team discovered a number of violations such as displaying gold jewelry products of unknown origin, without invoices, and without product labels. In addition, items (earrings, pendants, bracelets, etc.) showed signs of counterfeiting famous brands such as CHANEL, VERSACE, LOUIS VUITTON. The Market Surveillance Force has drawn up minutes and is clarifying the violations for handling in accordance with the provisions of the law.

The “holding still” trick took place in many locations. At the gold and silver street in District 5 on Nhieu Tam Street, Chieu Anh Cac …, many gold shops were closed, with temporary closure notices posted outside and phone numbers left for customers to contact if needed.
