1. Chairman of Hoa Phat Tran Dinh Long: Over 42 thousand billion VND

If only counting the amount of personally owned shares, Mr. Tran Dinh Long – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the steel giant Hoa Phat Group (HOSE: HPG) – is currently the richest leader in the Vietnamese stock market.

With 1.5 billion shares of HPG with a price of 28,050 VND/share on the session on February 5, 2024, Mr. Long owns assets worth more than 42,000 billion VND.

2. Chairman of VinGroup Pham Nhat Vuong: Over 29 thousand billion VND

If counting other assets such as stakes in VinFast, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong could be the richest person in Vietnam. But if only counting personal shares on the stock exchange, the Chairman of VinGroup (HOSE: VIC) ranks second, after Mr. Tran Dinh Long.

Currently, Mr. Vuong owns over 691 million VIC shares (a ratio of 17.87%). Based on the closing price on February 5, Mr. Vuong’s assets are valued at nearly 29.2 thousand billion VND.

3. Chairman of Sunshine Do Anh Tuan: Nearly 23 thousand billion VND

Ranking third on the list is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunshine Homes Development Corporation (UPCoM: SSH), Mr. Do Anh Tuan. It is known that Mr. Tuan also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Real Tech Corporation (HNX: KSF), a company in the construction and real estate sector.

Currently, Mr. Tuan holds nearly 246 million SSH shares (equivalent to owning 65%), and nearly 163 million KSF shares (owning more than 54%). Based on the closing price on February 5, Mr. Tuan’s assets are valued at about 22.8 thousand billion VND.

4. Chairman of Phat Dat Nguyen Van Dat: Over 8.4 thousand billion VND

Mr. Nguyen Van Dat is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation (HOSE: PDR), currently holding over 283 million shares (equivalent to owning more than 38%). With this amount of shares, Mr. Dat’s assets on the stock exchange are valued at about 8.4 thousand billion VND, based on the closing price on February 5.

5. Chairman of FPT Truong Gia Binh: Nearly 8 thousand billion VND

Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT – Truong Gia Binh currently owns 283.2 million shares in FPT Corporation (HOSE: FPT), equivalent to a ratio of 6.08%. On February 5, the shares were valued at nearly 8 thousand billion VND.

6. Vice Chairman of VIC Pham Thu Huong: Over 7.2 thousand billion VND

Not only billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, the person “shoulder to shoulder” with him, Mrs. Pham Thu Huong is also on the list of the richest leaders on the Vietnamese stock market. Currently, she holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIC, owning over 170.6 million shares (4.46%), equivalent to a value of over 7.2 thousand billion VND.

7. Chairman of Vietjet Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao: Over 7 thousand billion VND

Female tycoon Phuong Thao is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietjet Aviation Corporation (HOSE: VJC), also Vice Chairman of HDBank. Currently, Ms. Thao holds nearly 47.5 million VJC shares (8.76%) and over 93.6 million HDB shares (3.24%). The total value of her assets on the stock exchange is about 7.1 thousand billion VND as of February 5.

8. Chairman of Duc Giang Chemicals Dao Huu Huyen: Over 6.5 thousand billion VND

Owning companies like Duc Giang Chemicals (HOSE: DGC), it is not surprising that Chairman of the Board of Directors Dao Huu Huyen is also on this list. He currently holds nearly 70 million DGC shares, equivalent to owning 18.38%.

In addition to DGC, Mr. Huyen also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at 2 other companies listed, which are PAT and TSB, both are subsidiaries of DGC. At PAT, he holds nearly 14.7 million shares (equivalent to 58.69% of charter capital), while at TSB, it is 200 thousand shares (accounting for 2.96%).

Based on the closing price on February 5, the value of Mr. Huyen’s held shares is over 6.5 thousand billion VND.

9. Chairman of VPBank Ngo Chi Dung: Nearly 6.3 thousand billion VND

Another female leader from a bank entered the list of the richest people on the stock exchange. Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPBank (HOSE: VPB) currently holds nearly 329 million shares (4.14%), equivalent to a value of nearly 6.3 thousand billion VND as of February 5.

10. Chairman of Vinh Hoan Truong Thi Le Khanh: Over 5.5 thousand billion VND

“The queen of tra fish” Truong Thi Le Khanh owns 79 million shares (35.26%) of Vinh Hoan Corporation (HOSE: VHC), and nearly 5.5 million shares (76.72%) at Sa Giang Import Export Corporation (HNX: SGC) – where she holds the position of Member of the Board of Directors. The value of her shares is about 5.5 thousand billion VND.
