Party Central Committee Member, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and the working delegation have just visited and worked at FPT Corporation. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the achievements of FPT in 2023 and affirmed: “FPT has now grown to be one of the top companies in Vietnam, has gone global, competed internationally, and it is time to give back to Vietnam. FPT, use technology to modernize, digitalize Vietnam, turn Vietnam into a dragon, a tiger and survive”.
FPT bets on AI, Semiconductor, and Automotive Technology in 2024
Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of the Board of FPT Corporation reported the achievements that FPT has been striving for in 2023 with a revenue of VND 52,618 billion, a growth of 19.6%; a profit of VND 9,203 billion, an increase of 20.1% compared to the same period. A special highlight is FPT’s IT service revenue from overseas reached $1 billion for the first time, FPT has expanded its presence in 30 countries worldwide.
Talking about the goals in the year of Giap Thin 2024, Mr. Truong Gia Binh affirmed: “The celestial stem of this year is Giap – Wooden Yang. The Wood part is technology. This year is forecast to be a year of technology development, and strong movement. Thin is the year of the Dragon, the Dragon in Eastern culture is a symbol of power. Therefore, the celestial advantage is technology, the geographic advantage is the power to turn into a dragon, the issue now is only Human harmony. FPT should unite and focus on developing human resources”.
According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, AI, Semiconductor, and Automotive Technology are the three technology directions that FPT will focus on. In all three directions, FPT has accumulated a solid foundation over the years. FPT has a large team of AI experts, established the Quy Nhon Artificial Intelligence Center, and participated in the AI alliance initiated by IBM and Meta. During the Lunar New Year, FPT received more than 170 AI certificates issued by NIVIDIA and will strive to achieve hundreds of thousands of certificates in the future.
In the field of semiconductor chips, FPT Semiconductor is the first Vietnamese company to design commercial chips, with an order of 70 million chips for Japan, Korea, Taiwan… and cooperation with many organizations and companies in Japan and the United States.
In addition, the group has a team of 4,000 experts in the automotive software technology sector and many partners and customers are major global brands, establishing FPT Automotive. “To achieve great goals, FPT thinks the most important thing is people, happiness, and we use AI to help people, make life happier”, Mr. Truong Gia Binh affirmed.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung: FPT inspires Vietnamese digital technology businesses
During the working session, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung acknowledged the results achieved by FPT in 2023. According to the Minister, Vietnam has over 40,000 Digital Technology Enterprises, the majority of which are small-scale. The success of FPT will inspire small businesses, especially when going abroad.
Regarding the achievements of FPT in 2023 with the milestone of revenue from overseas markets reaching $1 billion, the Minister considers this as a breakthrough step that has propelled FPT to new rankings and levels globally. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed: “It can be said that digital technology, digital transformation, AI, and perseverance with initial strength have helped FPT succeed. FPT’s bet on AI, semiconductor chips, and automotive software technology, especially AI, is a very appropriate strategy”.
2024 will be the first year Vietnam implements the national strategy for the Semiconductor Industry. This is a fundamental industry and a key national industry for the next 30-50 years. According to the Minister, FPT wants to develop the semiconductor industry, the electronic industry must have a greater vision and greater determination.
