Hanoi prepares to hand over 2 resettlement areas for Belt Road 4 – Capital Region project

The construction unit is currently accelerating the progress of implementing the infrastructure construction project for the resettlement areas in Thanh Oai district (Hanoi). It is expected that by the end of March 2024, the district will hand over both resettlement areas to households affected by land acquisition for the project.

Regarding the Belt Road 4 Project in the Capital Region, the People’s Committee of Thanh Oai District said that there are currently 2 resettlement areas being implemented in the district. These are the resettlement area for the residents of Ha Dong (in Tam Hung commune) and the resettlement area for Thanh Village (in Cu Khe commune).

The infrastructure construction project for the Thanh Village Resettlement Area has a scale of 7,315m2. This includes 758m2 of land for road expansion according to the plan; 3,828m2 of land for low-rise residential buildings; 820m2 of green space; and 1,909m2 of internal traffic land, with a total investment of over 19.4 billion VND. The construction contractor has currently completed 30% of the contract volume.

The construction units strive to complete the project by March 31, 2024, in order to meet the conditions for handing over the land to households whose land was reclaimed for the project.

Prior to that, the infrastructure construction project for the Dai Dinh Resettlement Area (in Tam Hung commune) was also commenced on December 1, 2023. The project covers an area of 13,019m2, with a total investment of 36.4 billion VND. The construction contractor has currently completed over 60% of the contract volume. It is expected that by February 29, 2024, the project will be basically completed and meet the conditions for handing over the land to households whose land was reclaimed by Ha Dong District.

According to the Project Management Board of Thanh Oai District, in order to hand over the project on schedule, the District People’s Committee has directed the construction and supervision units to comply with the regulations on investment procedures. At the same time, they regularly monitor and timely resolve any problems that arise during the construction process.

The District People’s Committee also requires the construction units to ensure labor safety, environmental hygiene, and minimize any negative impact on the lives of the local residents.
