In early 2024, Talentnet opened a representative office in Singapore and a new branch in Cambodia, officially expanding into the region, accompanying Vietnamese enterprises in venturing out into the world.

The labor markets in Singapore and Cambodia have different developments. Why did Talentnet choose these two countries for its first foray into the region?

Talentnet’s ultimate goal and mission is still to accompany businesses in enhancing their human resource management strategies, thereby improving the quality of life for workers.

As Cambodia is receiving many waves of investment from Vietnamese businesses, Talentnet wants to support Vietnamese enterprises in establishing their positions here through professional and competitive human resource activities. As a Vietnamese enterprise, Talentnet understands and empathizes with the culture and business strategies of its partners, providing suitable advice. In addition, Talentnet’s consulting team in Cambodia, consisting mostly of locals, will contribute local perspectives to support customers in building a solid development foundation in the country.

In Singapore, many businesses there are looking to invest in Vietnam. With an understanding of the labor market and business environment through working experience with 1000 Vietnamese and international companies, Talentnet will be a bridge providing a comprehensive view of investment opportunities in Vietnam. Talentnet will also provide advice and support in attraction and retention strategies, preparing a platform to help businesses integrate into the Vietnamese economy.

Why did Talentnet choose this year as a milestone to expand?

Faced with current challenges, one might think of “hibernating” to preserve manpower. For me, opportunities can be created through reflection for innovation and restructuring of human resources.

Throughout 15 years accompanying businesses through various fluctuations, Talentnet has received support and trust from partners and customers. This is the time for Talentnet, with its international approach and strong expertise, to become an extended arm of Vietnamese and international businesses for transformation. This is also an opportunity for Talentnet to learn from neighboring friends. It is hoped that Talentnet will welcome many talents from neighboring countries to participate, aiming to elevate the quality of human resources in the region.

What competitive advantage helps Talentnet stand firm in the market and be ready to expand regionally?

Since the founding days of Talentnet, I have always wondered whether a 100% Vietnamese business can become a comprehensive provider of HR solutions for both Vietnamese and multinational clients.

The answer is yes. Not only providing short-term solutions to businesses, we also want to accompany them in the long term, enhancing professionalism in human resource management.

In addition to understanding the people, culture, laws, and domestic market, Talentnet also strives to become an exclusive partner in the region for ADP Streamline and Mercer, bringing reliable international standards and methodologies. These are valuable international resources that Talentnet “tailors” to the Vietnamese market, helping Vietnamese businesses plan effective talent attraction and retention strategies.

The achievement is not only raising the quality standards of Talentnet’s services, but also raising the level of Vietnamese businesses, sending the message: What the international community can do, the Vietnamese can also do!

Do you have any advice for businesses that are also seeking opportunities in the vast ocean?

“Opportunities are always open” under certain conditions:

First, businesses need to clearly define their long-term goals and visions – the “compass” that leads the way out to sea. Then, the captains must identify their strengths, rules, players, norms, and habits of the destination to develop strategies that are appropriate, adaptable, and upgradable.

Lastly, a spirit of collaboration between Vietnamese businesses is vital. Collaboration with international partners is a way to learn from them and embrace new standards for self-improvement.

Ultimately, a strong community must be built from strong individuals. Therefore, enhancing internal strength and competitiveness to keep up with the rapid development of the market is always a core objective.

In the new year, I hope that the new aspirations of Vietnamese businesses on the path to the vast ocean will succeed!

Thank you!
