IAS conference brings together global aviation leaders to discuss common issues in business management and development. In the context of a market with many fluctuations over the years, the conference also promotes strong cooperation between airlines, policy makers, and government representatives to shape the future of the industry.

The conference acknowledges the opportunities and challenges of the aviation industry in the context of a world facing many difficult problems. Airlines face uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity globally, occurring in various economic, political, technological, and climatic areas. In this context, delegates need to achieve consensus on industry-wide navigation methods to achieve new heights.

Speaking at the conference, Vietnam Airlines CEO Le Hong Ha emphasized: “Each airline needs to actively navigate in the complex environment of the industry by focusing on strategic vision, customer experience, technology application, sustainable development, safety, and employee participation. By doing so, the airline can position itself for long-term success and sustainable growth in the dynamic aviation market.”

Two discussions took place on February 28, focusing on trends impacting airlines and methods to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

In the first panel discussion, experts shared different perspectives on existing issues in the market, leading to discussions and proposal of solutions. Four topics were addressed: airlines operating with customers as the center, sustainable development orientation, ecosystem collaboration in aviation, and attention to factors that may disrupt business operations.

The experts also pointed out that the crisis is an opportunity for change: “In times of crisis, the brightest stars will shine.” To maintain proactive momentum in the face of uncertainty, aviation leaders need to change traditional methods and maximize the use of databases and advanced technologies to make decisive policies.

The second panel discussion focused on how to improve efficiency in the operations of airlines, airports, and related distributors. The goals are to increase simplicity, convenience, and speed in processes, thereby enhancing positive passenger experience.

In addition, this discussion focused on solutions for flight delays and cancellations, simplifying the shopping process, multi-modal transportation, and sustainable development. Delegates were particularly interested in AI applications for forecasting to minimize and manage flight delays more efficiently.
