Vietnamese Truck ‘Boss’ to Launch Super Sedan Competing with Honda Civic: Consuming 1.6 liters/100km, Price Starting at 373 million VND

The all-new C-class sedan model now features both petrol and plug-in hybrid variants, with prices ranging from 373 to 428 million VND.

Recently, Chinese brand Changan announced that the facelift version of the UNI-V model will officially be launched at the end of March. At the same time, the company has announced the pre-order price of this sedan.

Specifically, the Changan UNI-V 2024 comes in 4 versions with prices ranging from 108,900-124,900 Chinese Yuan (equivalent to 373-428 million dong). The UNI-V 2024 has both gasoline and plug-in hybrid variants. In the future, the plug-in hybrid variant will have up to 6 different versions.

In terms of appearance, the Changan UNI-V 2024 continues the design language of the old version with a borderless grille but the shape of the air intake grille has been refined. The front uses many geometric design elements combined with straight lines and creases. The headlights are very sharp, the front bumper has a guiding groove to enhance the sense of movement.

From the side, the Changan UNI-V 2024 has a fastback body shape and continues to use hidden door handles and multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. The mirror covers are glossy black. The overall dimensions of this C-segment sedan are 4,720×1,838×1,430 (1,435) mm with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

The rear of the car has a common through-type taillight. The rear bumper section of the car has a shape similar to a diffuser of a sports car and is replaced by a polygonal dual exhaust pipe placed in the middle instead of a symmetrical arrangement that adds a sporty look. Changan has paid great attention to aerodynamics, so the drag coefficient is only 0.33, contributing to both performance and fuel efficiency.

In terms of interior, the car is equipped with a 10.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 10.3-inch touch screen entertainment system, and integrated sports seats. The cabin is arranged towards the driver with premium materials and soft surfaces. The spacious seating can easily accommodate five adults and the trunk area has ample space for luggage.

Technology plays a central role in the UNI-V experience. The large touch screen infotainment system sits in the center position, providing access to navigation, entertainment options, and smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel adds a modern and tech-savvy feel.

In addition, Changan prioritizes safety on the UNI-V, equipping it with a comprehensive driver assistance feature set, including automatic emergency braking, front/rear radar, 360-degree surround view, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

In terms of power, the gasoline variant of the Changan UNI-V 2024 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Maximum power and torque remain unchanged at 188 horsepower and 300 Nm. Dual wet clutch transmission with 7 speeds.

The plug-in hybrid variant will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 110 horsepower and an electric motor that provides 190 or 215 horsepower. Dual wet clutch transmission with 6 speeds. Fuel consumption on mixed roads is only 1.59 liters/100 km. Battery capacity of 9.07 kWh and 18.99 kWh for pure electric range according to CLTC standards are 50 and 111 km respectively.
