Ho Chi Minh City grants over 67,000 land titles in the first two months of the year

Land and property certification in Ho Chi Minh City increases by nearly 140%

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, in the first two months of 2024, a total of 67,750 certificates for land use rights, home ownership, and other assets attached to land (red books) were issued.

Of these, 64,862 cases were related to changes in real estate, an increase of 18,514 red books compared to the same period in 2022, and nearly 140% higher than the first two months of 2023.

In addition, 1,422 households and individuals received their first red book during this period. 1,466 red books were issued to buyers of commercial housing projects in the city.

The rate of resolving red book issuance, real estate changes, and registration of secured transactions for organizations, individuals, and households in the first two months of 2024 increased by an average of 72% compared to the same period in 2023.

In 2023, 7,184 organizations and individuals received their first red book.

Furthermore, there were 320,729 cases of real estate changes, with 313,347 cases involving individuals.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the estimated revenue for the city’s budget from red book issuance (personal income tax and land transfer tax) in 2023 was VND 7,781 billion, and the economic development fund from the value of mortgage, land registration reached over VND 755,000 billion.
