Inside the Nhổn Metro Train – Hanoi Station before the Commencement Date
The Hanoi Metro Line 1, connecting Nhon and Hanoi Station, is one of the most advanced projects by Alstom (France), equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to serve passengers.
To board the train, passengers use train tickets in the form of plastic cards or coins. Each train ticket can only be swiped once when the entrance door is open.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Son – Deputy Chief of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that as of now, all train sets have completed the inspection and fire prevention tasks. After one week of trials, MRB has completed 7 out of the planned 57 emergency situation scenarios. The implementation process has shown smooth operation, following the planned script.
The Nhon – Hanoi Urban Railway Project (experimental urban railway line in Hanoi, section Nhon – Hanoi station) has been implemented since 2006.
The railway line is 12.5km long, passes through 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations, of which the elevated section (Nhon – Cau Giay) is 8.5km long and the underground section (Cau Giay – Hanoi station) is 4km long. The depot located in Nhon covers an area of 15ha. The total investment in the project is over VND 34,800 billion.
