The People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province has recently issued Decision No. 123/QD-UBND approving the Program of Foreign Affairs, Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province in 2024.
Accordingly, in terms of investment promotion activities in 2024, Thanh Hoa province will conduct research on market potential, trends, and investment partners; organize meetings between provincial leaders and international agencies, organizations, and businesses to attract investment to the province.
Throughout the year, Thanh Hoa will continue to build its image, promote and introduce the local environment, policies, potentials, opportunities, and investment connections; organize forums, conferences, workshops, and trade promotion events.
For trade promotion activities, the province will participate in exhibitions to promote and introduce investment, trade, and tourism potentials and strengths.
In particular, Thanh Hoa will choose to participate in 5-7 events, including Vietnam Expo 2024 International Trade Fair; Vietnam Regional Specialty Fair 2024; Hue Festival 2024 or Hue Rural and Craft Industrial Products Fair 2024; Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City; North Central Trade Fair 2024; Trade Connectivity Conference in Vietnam between regional suppliers and export companies and trade promotion organizations; Trade promotion conferences/workshops for businesses in North Central provinces and foreign businesses… with 2 standard booths/events.
In 2024, the province will also organize a West Region Trade and Tourism Fair to provide access to domestic goods for residents of mountainous areas and create opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses, as well as businesses from Hua Phan province (Laos), to introduce and promote goods in Thanh Hoa province.
For tourism promotion activities, Thanh Hoa province will participate in key tourism events such as the National Tourism Year 2024, Hanoi Autumn Festival, Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo – ITE HCMC 2024, with 2 standard booths/exhibitions.
In addition, in 2024, Thanh Hoa will host press and tourism business delegations from other provinces and cities to survey tourist sites in Thanh Hoa province. The province will also participate in international tourism fairs organized by central and local agencies in Vietnam.
For foreign affairs activities organized according to the approved plan, Thanh Hoa province will organize meetings between provincial leaders and embassies, development agencies, and international organizations visiting and working in Thanh Hoa province. The province will also organize meetings between provincial leaders and local government, agencies, organizations, and businesses of localities that have established cooperative relationships with Thanh Hoa province.
During the implementation of the Program of Foreign Affairs, Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism in 2024, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigns the Department of Finance to lead and coordinate with the Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, and related units to continue reviewing and advising the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the province to adjust and supplement the activities within the program as required.
The Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center is assigned to lead and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to periodically synthesize and report to the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province on the implementation of the Program of Foreign Affairs, Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism in 2024 as prescribed.
