The People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province has recently issued a plan to conduct a review and resolution process for 14 slow-progress housing projects in the province.

To address these 14 slow-progress housing projects, the Department of Construction of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province has classified them into 3 groups: One project has been allocated land, leased land, and granted a certificate but has not implemented the investment policy.

Two projects have been allocated land, leased land, and granted a land use right certificate and have completed the investment procedures; and 11 projects have been supported by the People’s Committee of the province to implement the investment project or agree on the project location, but have not completed the land procedures or investment procedures.

The Department of Construction of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province has been assigned the task of thoroughly handling these 14 slow-progress housing projects in the second quarter of 2024.

Among the aforementioned 14 housing projects, 9 projects are located in Vung Tau City, 4 projects are in Phu My Town, and 1 project is in Long Dien District, with a total area of approximately 319 hectares.

Specifically, the 9 projects in Vung Tau City include: Nam Binh 2 residential area with a scale of 1.04 hectares, Ward 12, invested by Hong Long Company; Officials and Workers’ residential area with an area of 4.27 hectares, Rạch Dừa Ward, invested by May xuất khẩu Vung Tau Export Garment Joint Stock Company; Hoan Cau Villa with an area of 1.5 hectares, Ward 2, Hoan Cau Company Limited;

Quang Hung residential – service complex with an area of 4 hectares, Ward 11, Quang Hung Real Estate Joint Stock Company; Commercial and service complex combined with residential area with a scale of 3 hectares, Ward 9, invested by Decoimex Company; Food supply service center and residential area with an area of 5.7 hectares, Ward 12, Tứ Hải Company Limited;

Nam Binh residential area with an area of 5 hectares, Ward 12, Phuoc Thang Company Limited; Goldstar villa, serviced apartments, and hotel with an area of 1.88 hectares, Ward 10, Son Vietnam Joint Stock Company; Premium high-rise apartment Tower Seaview with 21 floors in Ward 8, Tan Thanh Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company.

The 4 projects in Phu My Town include: Duc Nhan residential area with an area of 10.8 hectares, invested by Duc Nhan Company Limited; Utility and accommodation services in Phu My Industrial Park 3 with a scale of 46.84 hectares, Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company;

Toc Tien urban area and service complex covering an area of 179.5 hectares in Toc Tien commune, invested by Toc Tien Urban and Service Investment Joint Stock Company; Officials and Workers’ residential area covering an area of 13.62 hectares in Tan Hoa commune, invested by Saigon Newport Corporation.

One of the housing projects located in Long Dien town, Long Dien district is Tân Nam residential area 1 with an area of 41.63 hectares, invested by O Cap Housing Development Joint Stock Company.

The People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province has assigned the Department of Construction to thoroughly handle these 14 housing projects in the second quarter of 2024. For projects under inspection, audit, or investigation, they will be processed when the results are available.

According to the plan, the Department of Construction will compile relevant legal documents of the 14 projects, request project owners to report on the project implementation process, and gather opinions from relevant departments and agencies regarding the capacity of the project owners. Then, the Department of Construction will summarize the opinions and provide recommendations to the People’s Committee of the province on specific handling measures for each project.
