The Indonesia Auto Show 2024 (IIMS 2024) is currently taking place in Indonesia and has witnessed the remarkable success of the Suzuki Jimny 5-door, which is the hottest car introduced here. According to PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), the official distributor of Suzuki in Indonesia, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door has received 1,200 orders within the first 3 days of the exhibition (from February 15-18).

As the exhibition continues until February 25, the number of orders for the Suzuki Jimny 5-door is expected to increase. SIS representative stated that these orders came not only from visitors to the exhibition but also from customers throughout Indonesia. They placed their orders over the phone and at local dealerships upon learning about the launch of the Suzuki Jimny 5-door in Indonesia.
In Indonesia, the starting price for the Suzuki Jimny 5-door is 462 million IDR, equivalent to 724 million dong. The car is imported from India. Compared to the previously announced 3-door version imported from Japan, the price of the 5-door version is only 4% higher.

Compared to the 3-door version, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door is 485 mm longer, with 340 mm added between the wheelbase. The engine remains a 1.5L type with 101 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-wheel drive system and the choice of a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.
After the Indonesian market, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door is expected to be available in several other Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.
