Tips for Revenue Management for Shop Owners

According to Payoo, a payment solution provider, in 2023, the rate of online bill payment via mobile banking app has exceeded in-store payment. Especially, QR code payment has tripled compared to the previous year and is popular with small-value orders.

These payment methods are not only preferred by retailers but also supported by a large number of customers due to their convenience, speed, and security for both the sender and the payment information. However, for businesses such as stores, restaurants, and cafes, QR code or transfer payments still have some limitations. Typical is the step of confirming the payment and managing the revenue.

When customers make transfers or scan QR codes, employees often have to take a screenshot of the transaction screen and wait for the account holder to confirm the payment to ensure successful payment. As such, it not only adds manual steps and time for store owners, employees, and customers but also increases the risk of errors when summarizing and reconciling online transactions at the end of the day.

Understanding the needs of users and wishing to bring the utmost convenience to customers, NCB Bank has deployed the feature of sharing balance changes when there is money transferred to accounts on the NCB iziMobile digital banking app. This is a new feature designed by NCB specifically for customers who are store owners or have a need to automatically update notifications for associates and family members.

NCB constantly introduces new outstanding features on NCB iziMobile, enhancing the user experience and adding value for customers.

Convenient solution, completely free

With the new utility on NCB iziMobile, store owners can conveniently share balance changes with multiple employees at the same time, while outgoing balance changes are still secured. Thanks to that, store owners can easily manage revenue remotely while ensuring the security of personal balances.

To register for sharing notifications to other users, account holders only need to perform a few simple steps: log in to the NCB iziMobile app, select Personal, select the Balance Change Notification feature, then add a new recipient by scanning the QR code or entering the recipient’s information. Meanwhile, the recipient only needs to have a payment account at NCB Bank to receive notifications when money is transferred.

With this new feature from NCB, salespersonnel, accountants, or members who are shared notifications can clearly understand the occurrence of incoming funds when customers make payments, conveniently reconcile and control transaction status, and reduce the risk of fraud and impersonation. At the same time, customers can also benefit from no longer having to wait long for the store to confirm successful payment.

The balance change sharing feature on NCB iziMobile helps store owners streamline operations and revenue management.

Experiencing the feature of sharing balance changes on the NCB iziMobile app, Mr. Giang, the owner of a chain of bakeries in Hanoi, said: “This feature from NCB is truly a lifesaver for me. I no longer have to spend the whole day anxiously waiting for confirmation of transactions from my customers’ employees. It’s much easier without all the manual steps.”

Meanwhile, Minh Hai, an employee at Mr. Giang’s store, shared: “Successful customer transfers are known immediately by the cashier, very easy and fast. I’m also not worried about missing the screen capture, and customers are happy because they don’t have to wait anymore.”

Notably, this useful feature is provided by NCB completely free of charge on the NCB iziMobile digital banking platform, helping customers not only overcome difficulties in managing revenues but also save significant operational costs.

Over the past year, NCB has gradually built a comprehensive NCB iziMobile digital ecosystem, continuously introducing new attractive features to enhance the user experience and add value for customers. The implemented products and services are based on a thorough understanding of customer preferences and trust, while meeting the diverse needs of users.
