The 18th session of the People’s Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau was held on the morning of February 29. The session approved 21 important resolutions related to legal regulations, land, and public investment.
Among them, two resolutions that people are interested in are the project to rearrange the Thuy Van street axis in Vung Tau and the resolution approving the investment policy for the main Vung Tau road project (section from the Vung Tau – Binh Thuan coastal intersection to the 51B, C roundabout in Vung Tau).

The delegates agreed on the resolution approving the investment policy for the project to rearrange the Thuy Van street axis in Vung Tau with a total investment of more than 1.216 trillion VND from the provincial budget.
The Thuy Van street axis is a coastal urban road connecting tourist destinations in Vung Tau. Currently, the tourism service facilities here are not synchronized, obstructing the view to the sea. The public service facilities and landscape in the area are not attractive to tourists, and the service quality is still low.
The People’s Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau approved many important resolutions.
In order to develop Vung Tau City into a high-quality, internationally-classed tourist center, the investment in the project will bring a new appearance to the Bai Sau area of Vung Tau City.
In the period of 2021-2025, Ba Ria – Vung Tau plans to allocate about 950 billion VND, and in the period of 2026-2030, allocate the remaining capital to continue implementing and settling the project.
The People’s Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau also approved the investment policy for the main Vung Tau road project with a length of 2.87 km and a total investment of over 1.998 trillion VND from the provincial budget.
The Thuy Van axis road, Bai Sau Vung Tau will have a new appearance.
With the goal of completing the province’s road network, when the project is completed, it will be combined with the high-speed connecting routes, forming a continuous route from Bien Hoa City to Vung Tau City. At the same time, it will be connected to the Vung Tau – Binh Thuan coastal road and the main urban axis roads that are being invested and implemented, forming a complete transportation network.
In the period of 2021-2025, about 1.352 trillion VND will be allocated, and in the period of 2026-2030, allocate the remaining capital to continue implementing and settling the project. The implementation time is from 2024 to 2028.
At this session, the People’s Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau also approved the adjustment of the public investment plan for 2024 to allocate additional funding for 7 newly commenced projects and compensation for land clearance, with a total amount of 2.932 trillion VND.
At the session, the People’s Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau issued a resolution approving the master plan for the construction of Con Dao by 2045.
The adjustment of the master plan for the construction of Con Dao is suitable for the development orientation of tourism, preservation and promotion of the unique national historical heritage value, exploitation and protection of the Con Dao National Park’s ecology, aiming to develop Con Dao into a high-quality eco-tourism destination with cultural, historical, and spiritual values, reaching regional and international standards with a synchronized and modern technical infrastructure system.
